HISTORY

Since 1994 Pastor Peter Marchand has been conducting preaching and teaching Ministry Trips in Uganda, at the invitation of Victory Outreach Ministries there (see www.inn.org.uk). In 2004, on one such trip, he clearly heard God call him to open a Victory Outreach church here in his own country (UK), as he was encountering so many students coming from overseas to the newly opened Universities at Medway, and felt the existing local UK churches would not be able to accommodate the spiritual needs of those coming in from abroad.

So in 2005, together with two of the leading pastors of Victory Outreach Ministries, he opened The VOICE (Victory Outreach International Church England). They returned to Uganda after one year, and the church has developed and grown from then on.

LEADERSHIP

The Pastoral Team model of leadership practised by Victory Outreach Ministries in Uganda is not appropriate here, so in 2009 it was decided to appoint Pastor Peter as the Senior Pastor, with Pastor James Sowah as his Assistant Pastor (see profiles).  A Leadership Team is currently being trained to help with the expanding demands of a growing international church.
